FATE I WANT TO KNOW WHY

Inspired by the feelings of loss, grief and anger felt on losing a dear friend in tragic circumstances

FATE, I WANT TO KNOW WHY

What frightful formula or unjust spite

did you action when choosing to spirit

away poor perfected soul. Surely can

you not restrain your might, make fair

play your creed. should he not beside

his love still stroll ? Only a mistress cruel

would wrest a man, by decency driven,

from adoring kith and kin. Do you not

see value in human kind, how infectious

was his grin, that he was good. We who

remain are left to honour departed worth,

but your mercurial judgement have we

never understood.
