2nd part of a trilogy on loss and bereavement.
SHED NOT ONE TEAR
Shed not one tear, if it is born out of your sorrow.
That you smile again is the desire in my heart,
because I know there will always be a tomorrow,
do not anguish over reasons we had so soon to part.
Think of me safe in a peaceful room just next door
where I’m free from pain and fear, and no longer ill
I’m happy and young again and will be forever more
and though you think I’m lost I see and hear you still.
For I’ll always be with you when you close your eyes
and in your loving memory for eternity will remain.
You see nothing ever matters, nothing really dies
so I kiss you good night and promise to meet again.
