CARPE DIEM

Inspired by the famous quote from Roman poet Horace: “ carpe diem, quam minimum postero” the popular translation of which states “seize the day, put very little trust in tomorrow”

CARPE DIEM

Seize the day ! Make gifted light your charge,

use it for profit or pleasure

but waste not this treasure .

We are vassal to the Lord of life,

let action be rife.

Seize the moment ! Let not one falling sand grain

be unworthy of mention.

Divide hours into labour and rest,

strive ever for ascension.

And when a final sunset comes, rejoice the slow

toll of the bell ! Each pause and ring proclaiming

he has lived well.
