LYNN BURTON’S ‘THE ILLUSIONIST’ ‘PORCELAIN MOON’ AND ‘MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT’

The following are examples of the beautiful Alchemy written by Lynn Burton of L.Burton writes. Again it is difficult to choose a couple from most Poet’s work so I added a villanelle as well seeing as it is Lynn’s favourite form. I hope you enjoy.

  1. Nigel! I didn’t think it was possible to love hearing you read poetry more, but I absolutely love these! There’s the excellent choice in music, the tone that’s set, your wonderful voice. It’s just perfection. You elevate it to such a higher level. I’ve listened to these several times now and there will be many more listens. By the way, the music for The Illusionist moved me to tears. That’s how good you are. I knew these were in good hands. x

    1. Your words make me very happy too. The Illusionist was a tough marry because it is so easy to open a can of cliché so I took a leaf out of my own book and read it several times and let the images come, it was easy then. The picture was tricky because I wanted to cover as much as possible all three, so I went for the words magic, dream, illusion and uncertainty and thought the misty path nailed it without going all goth !

      1. These have definitely made my day. I’m thrilled and grateful at the care they were given. The misty path is perfect, magical itself. I want to keep these special treats all for myself but they deserve to be shared.
