ZEIT GEIST – written & spoken

ZEIT GEIST

Zeitgeist – is the correct form, literally ‘time spirit’ and is a German word used to describe the defining spirit or mood of a particular period of history as shown by the ideas and beliefs of the time.

Zeit Geist

I am he who is God,

who is your everything,

your everywhere

who makes your world sing

without a care.

I am your ruler, your king

the beginning, the end

I take and I bring

yet neither receive nor send.

I am all, to my tune you dance

your lives metered by my call,

my effigy on wrist, stone and wall,

to ignore me is to chance.

I feel not love or hate

I am not asleep or awake

neither early or late

I do not make, I do not break

I just am.

I am time

      1. Obvious or not, we go where it takes us. I so love what’s behind those doors you open. I remembered you mentioned having a Neuro apt and wondered how it went. No kidding! You’d think there’d be something better.

      2. Ha ! what makes me giggle is how defensive and upset they get when I say I’m not impressed. Whoops two more ideas popped up. That line from ‘skin’ it was almost love………. And I’ve just woken to the 1st English foggy morn .

      3. If they don’t like it, maybe they could work harder/faster on coming up with something better. Something more…oh, I don’t know, less ‘treat the symptoms’ and more eradicate it. Naturally you aren’t impressed, ha. Oh! I listen to ‘Skin’ so often!! In fact, every time I sit down to write in the evening I turn it on. Ah, an English foggy morn sounds divine.
