STRANGERS WAVING

Strangers waving

Mother often said “Wave at the train”

as it rumbled on the Bradford track,

two small strangers in pouring rain

hoping other strangers would wave back

they always did, which was a lovely thing,

as strangers waving has such a nice ring.

      1. That’s true! Ahh! You inspire me!! The other day, I started working on a piece for the Patten line you’d suggested. That one’s important to me so I want to get it just right.
